Lavender Fields In Norfolk
At the end of June I went out on my motorbike with sketchbook to try and capture the Lavender Fields in Norfolk - found amazing poppy fields as well.
It was a very hot day and they had started to harvest the lavender, so I was just in time.
I did quick sketches while there. On returning to my studio I made a study combining two of the sketches - I drew this to the size I wanted the final linocut to be so that I could trace it in reverse onto the lino.
